Gallbladder Removal (Cholecystectomy)

Cholecystectomy is the removal of the gallbladder, usually to treat painful gallstones. It is one of the most common surgeries worldwide. Removing the gallbladder does not significantly affect digestion, as the liver continues to produce bile.
